Found out as i woke up today, Earl Scruggs had passed at the age of 88 during the night. I really don't know what to say but I'm spending the day listening to his beautiful music out of respect. Sadened that i will never meet the legend.

I love the sound of Banjo and pretty much everything about it, particularly three finger bluegrass style picking. I play a Deering Good Time 2, It's my first banjo as of Christmas 2011. I've loved folk music all my life, my father from Northern Ireland it was hard not to be influenced by it. At the age of about 14 i heard 'she cant burn me now - Del McCoury Band' and it sparked my passion for bluegrass, I love the discipline and perfect playing of such technical music. Outside of folk music I enjoy Blues, Rock n Roll, Hip Hop and Bach.
