Hi, I recently came across a British made, 5 string Cuckoo Banjo whilst going through my father's estate (it is not a mandolin). I recall my father saying that it was from the 1940's. The banjo is in extremely good condition, it is not warped and has no damage as it has always been kept in the case. The enquiry I make, is the banjo rare or of any monetary value. If not, I would have no problem giving it to my grandson to play with. The Banjo has mother of pearl inserts in the neck, the drum is pig skin, the surround is chrome with 25 adjusting bolts. The banjo has no back, the neck is attached to the main body via a square block with 2 adjusting screws. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
