Howdy folks, This is my first message at the Banjo Hangout. I have been connected to the Resohangout for a lot of years. Our home is in Bethlehem, PA. I am an old "Geezer"...83 years old...but don't know that... unless I look in a mirror. My interest in the Banjohangout is to find someone that might be interested in buying a Weymann 1929, Style1 Orchestra model 4 string banjo. In the 50s and 60s I played steel guitar with a local Country Music Band. One of the members of the band, name is David Kern, played Bass, Fiddle and this old banjo that I am talking about. Dave Kern passed away several years ago and his son Russ Kern, is down sizing as he lost his wife about a few months ago. Russ asked me to help with trying find someone that would truly want this banjo and hopefully want to play it. I had Gruhn Guitars in Nashville, appraise it. I can send photos and also a copy of the Gruhn appraisal. The Gruhn appraisal claimed the banjo market value to be $1,500. I have it listed on eBay and Resohangout for $1,000....free shipping. I'll try to post a couple photos here...hope I can make it happen?
