Hi. I'm an American living in Bali Indonesia. I played a little banjo when I was a kid in the late 70's and, interested in playing again, brought my old Emperador with me to Bali a few months ago. A problem with the instrument has developed that was actually present years ago but it's gotten worse since I've had the instrument in Bali. The tension ring seems to be warped so that the head rises above it near the neck and around the tailpiece around 3/16", but is below the edge on both sides about 1/4". I've tried adjusting the tension repeatedly and now see that the head is rippling. Any suggestions?
