Greetings! I have recently been given an old banjo, and I hope to learn how to play the thing. I do play some acoustic finger-style country blues on acoustic guitars, but have longed to "pick and grin" with a banjo in my hands.
My banjo is old. It's a Vega, made in Boston. The resonator is broken off, so I can see that it's a "Style F," with a serial number of 66400. That number is stamped inside the wood rim, and also on a piece that runs across from the neck down. Any information on the instrument would be appreciated. Thanks!
