I find that I am very much a visual learner and the Cathy Fink Clawhammer Banjo Instructional Series has been a fantastic resource for me. I struggled with books and CD's but now that I have these DVD's, my playing has really taken off. Each of the four DVD's in this instruction set contain approximately 3 hours of instruction broken into segments of between 3 to 5 minutes each. That short length is just right since that's about all I can absorb at one sitting. Cathy uses a logical progression in her teaching and the student is able to leverage off prior note sequences in adapting to playing songs that are fun but continually challenging. I have spent this last month working with these DVDs and have progressed well beyond my expectations. Thanks Cathy!
