I was mesmerized with Earl as a kid when I watched the Beverly Hillbillies (in black & white) so, I started playing in 1966. Snuffy Jenkins started me at that time. I started playing in bands in 1967. Met and played with Jim & Jesse in 1970. Met and played with Mac Wiseman in 1972. Met and played with Earl in 1973. I have played with lots of Bluegrass bands and formations through the years. Won many banjo contests and championships throughout the southeast. I played the banjo for the theme song in a movie with Gloria Loring and Bob Hope in 1973 called ''Play It Again Sam''. I was dressed as a Confederate soldier. It was quite an experience. I have started and helped many banjo players in these past decades. For years I had a band called 'Southern Expedition' and played with 'Bill Wells & The Blue Ridge Mtn. Grass' locally from W. Columbia, SC. My current and most favorite band is called 'Darlene & Reflections Of Bluegrass' based out of W. Columbia, SC. We have a 4 piece band and travel the southeast mainly.
