Hi my name is Gavin Dunne, i live in Kildare and i play Clawhammer banjo. Iv been playing banjo for about 2 years now and really love the Old Time music from people like Dwight Diller, Julie Duggan, Michael Fox, Wade Ward, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Mike Seeger and loads more. I play a Gold Tone Bob Carling 350 open back with a 12" pot and a scooped neck for fralling, the 12" pot gives it that nice warm deep tone. Living in Ireland i dont get to meet too many other old time players so if anyone local is interested in playing a few tunes anytime drop me an email, it would be good to play with other banjo or fiddle players. Im traveling to the states soon and hope to get an Eric Prust frettless banjo, il keep you posted on that one.
