I started playing banjo when I was about 13. I was walking up the front porch steps when I heard what I thought was the neatest sound ever.My brother was playing a Flatt and Scruggs album and I just fell in loe with the sound. I drove my family crazy learning but eventually could play some tunes.My first banjo was a Harmony that I payed about $65 dollars for.Then I heard Randy Lynn Rag and I bought Scruggs Tuners which cost as much as my banjo and thus began my tinkering hobby . Iv'e built several banjos over the years which I've sold here and there.. Over the years Iv'e jumped around learning several different instruments all the while still picking the 5 string . I know I should be better than I am but I can play along with almost anything I hear. I still have fun playing and am currently in a gospel band .......... to be continued..
