i live in york uk i play fiddle and banjo covering various styles of traditional music ,i work as a repairer of stringed instruments (i have built several violins violas and mandolins but i am too slow to do this commercially) i also repair concertinas and accordeons. though my main work is on violins i enjoy working on banjos my speciality would be resetting dowel sticks( even where these have been epoxied in !!!) also the fitting of natural vellums for clawhammer players .i have customers all over the world and include in the usa Victor Furtado ,adrian powell(winner at elk creek2012) ,jim lloyd (3rd at galax 2012 clawhammer banjo) sam gleaves(1st in folksong galax 2012and a wonderfull banjo player)leigh beemer (,rising star singer, and multi instrumentalist ),erika godfrey(5th in fiddle galax 2012) tim sauls(celtabillies) eddie ogle (mountain fling ) etc. so i must be getting things right or pretty close !
