More About Me

I am a hobby builder, who builds 3-4 banjos a year. I build Dobson type reproductions, using high quality materials, from Bill Rickard, and other reputable suppliers. I use Keller Drum shells, for pots, which are painted satin black, and a Dobson tonering. The hardware is raw brass. The neck is usually made of maple, cherry, or walnut, but other wood can be used. The peghead is paddle shaped, and The bottom of the heel is a modified Cole Boat Tail. The neck is usually not stained and is finished with ten coats of True-Oil. I use Fiberskyn or Skin heads . The price is $950.
