So what do building banjos and training doctors for Iraq and Afghanistan have in common? George Wunderlich, of course! But you gotta watch the show to figure that one out.
Typical of so many banjo builders, George is freakin' brilliant. And everything he does is top notch. In working with ethnomusicologist Greg Adams, he's assembling an incredible, techical database on historical banjos. That's why so much of his reproduction work in building Bouchers, Converse and Sweeneys (and more) is seen as "as close as it gets to the real item."
George is also a hoot. :)
