Hey group...I have a Fender Concertone Custom 5-string banjo. I purchased it from a Fender dealer in Santa Cruz, CA ("The Music Box" no longer in business). The dealer bought it from Fender after the 1968 NAMM show when Fender introduced their new banjo lineup. The banjo was kept in a showcase in the store until I bought it in 1972. According to the dealer, it was the first 5-string Custom made...My Serial #00741. I'm curious to see if anyone has historical data regarding these Concertone Customs.
