There probably is a more elegant way to show this but I just posted an analysis of a vintage (anonymous) Watauga County banjer on my blog with pix at http://www.banjohangout.org/myhangout/photos.asp?id=18436&PhotoID=113589&albumid=6055&action=up . [Click for notes and closeups.] The body is clearly older (maybe someone will recognize it) with a newer (but probably not recent) replacement neck. Perhaps it represents two generations or a different, later, owner? I would love observations, comments.
