Hi. Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. My name is Teresa. . I have played guitar all of my life but have always wanted to learn the banjo I have a B17 on order.. It's not scheduled for shipping until May 10th! UGH! I think it's worth waiting for, though. :)

Do any of you play the B 17? I think it is a very beautiful banjo and can't wait to start playing!

I have talked to professionals and some high profile people who have praised the Washburn B17 - and I am behind them, because it is an awesome banjo. I play my B17 every single day, sometimes for hours, and I couldn't be happier with it, especially considering the fact that I played nothing but very cheap and hard to handle budget banjos before that, it was a heck of a change and an upgrade for me. You made a good choice, and the day you receive your Washburn B17 will be engraved in your memory forever. I got mine exactly on Valentine's Day in 2011 - a coincidence, as I ordered my banjo from back home and it could have arrived at any random day (I live in Scotland). And an appropriate date at that, 'cause I fell in love with it and so will you! The gold hardware shines and lights up the room, and so does that crystal clear bell-like tone ring. Take my word for it - you chose your banjo well, and you're in for a treat, Teresa!

Yesterday I ordered a Washburn B17K and it's due to arrive tomorrow, Thursday, August 10,2017 After 35 years with the Leo, I'm hoping for something really different. Does anyone have any idea what the weight is for the B17K? Thanks everyone, Bud
