The Washburn Forum (http://forums.washburn.com/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=10) is not a banjo specific forum. It is frequented by various players other than banjo players. The group here in the Banjo Hangout is intended to focus and promote Washburn banjos, a less appreciated brand of Banjos, but one with a storied history and some excellent banjo quality. Any thoughts on improving this group is most welcome as is any recruiting efforts. Let's make this the best Washburn banjo forum on the web!

	eknjr says: 5/12/2011 11:20:04 AM I have a B18/ 1983, when I took it to a jam after I got it did not see it for an hour as it made it around the banjo players , my teacher told me it players better and sounds better than his $5k deering. Got it from a young man that was having a baby and need money got it for $500.00. Ken

Jarvis13 says: 7/29/2011 9:59:52 PM I have a B17 and I just love it to death. It looks good and it sounds even better. I also have a B8, which is not even listed on their website, but it comes with their Beginner Pack. I use the B8 for the outdoors and practicing. Once you lower the action it ain't that bad. I'm a big fan of the Washburn brand and I think they make very good instruments, and their banjos are a fine example of it.
	arielslim says: 1/5/2013 10:10:50 AM I bought a 1978 B14 with the orignal case that a friend of mine bought new and only played it long enough to decide it was'nt for him. Put it away and forgot about it all these years. It's in great shape as well as the case. Got it for $300,put a Kershner tailpiece and a Jason Romero bridge on it along with a new Remo extra frosted head ,GHS strings. Had it profesionaly setup and it plays and sounds great. I'm really likeing this B14! "money is only money,but a banjo is a BANJO!"
	silspd81 says: 2/18/2016 2:41:40 PM I see a lot of comments here as to where Washburn Banjo's were made. I have a 1980 B19. Mine was made in Japan and was told by Washburn it was made during the startup years when the company was located in Northbrook il, and was called Fretted Industries. Mine is not the sunburst model nor does it have the heel carvings.
