Hello Everyone
I can't believe it is over five weeks since we met. I had so much on with work that I didn't have time to do an update and then Christmas hit.
Up to Christmas I had only managed about an hour's play in that time too.
Still, work is done now until 2nd January and Christmas is over for an other year so here goes..........
…...Our November meeting was a success. We had 5 people in attendance – Alan, Albert, Ian, Richard and me. It was Ian's first but hopefully not his last visit.
We played through much of the playlist with someone taking the melody and others playing chords (or at least trying to in my case) to provide a separate layer to the music. It makes a difference to the overall sound to hear only one banjo taking the lead rather than 5 all trying to do the same. This is a step forward in my opinion and when I pick up the banjo again what I will be practicing.
We had a lot of chat too and some tip sharing. All in all it was a good banjoing night.
We have agreed to add another two tunes to the playlist:

Our next meet will be on Tuesday 29th January. Hopefully the weather won't spoil it for us.
