I was headed up to the Seattle area this last Saturday morning 10-8-11 and noticed a billboard near the Battleground, Ridgefield exit of a Bluegrass event and Bird fest happening this last weekend. Don't know what a bird fest is, but the bluegrass sounded pretty intriguing, this is one of the reasons I started this group so we can let each other know what is happening in the area here. If I find out anything in advance will post it here.

We did stumble across another cool old banjo this weekend in Seattle, a very nice 30's Bacon & Day Plectrum, which is something I had been keeping my eyes open for. But now I have to learn to play it.

	Banjo-Man-Dan says: 10/11/2011 8:37:45 AM Birdfest and Bluegrass is put on by the the Friends of Ridgefield National Widelife Refuge. There were lots of activities including jamming, a Friday night concert and a full day of performances on Saturday. I should have posted a reminder. Sorry you missed it.
