Back in August & September of last year, Amazon started cutting prices on at least four models of high-end Asian import banjos. I attached some links to charts that show how they kept cutting the price day by day until they sold. Four people got real bargains on banjos by Gold Star, Gold Tone and Recording King. Average price paid was about half of normal street price, and a whopping 60% or more off of list. I bought the Gold Tone OB, and it was because of a BHo user posting news about what was happening. Why did Amazon have such a sale? I'm guessing it was like any retailer having a clearance special, but I really don't know. But if Amazon ever does this again, BHO is the place to share the news.
