I was poking around on Amazon.com and noticed they have the Recording King Osborne Scout for $1271. That's about 400 less than the usual street price. If Amazon follows past pattern, they will continue to drop the price until one is sold. Then the price will return to normal.

If you are ever shopping or a new banjo, cruise Amazon from time to time and pay attention to banjos that say "click to see price" instead of showing a price. At least that is how it worked last year.
