After years of playing guitar and CH with old timey bands I'm moving on to tenor banjo in a Klezmer band. Any examples or tips on tenor Klezmer technique? Any recordings? I understand that some of the Klezmer dance bands of the 20s had tenor players.

	malarz says: 2/9/2020 11:42:18 AM I’ve played some Klezmer tunes in a band and I’ve found that if I can support he melody instruments with good rhythm that seems to be welcome. I’ve never heard any old recordings and based my decision on “keeping it simple.” I’d like to hear recordings of the Klezmer dance bands.
jpolache says: 2/9/2020 6:35:19 PM Henry Sapoznik mentioned in an interview finding recording of bands from the 20s that included tenor banjo. I'll try to reach out to him for titles and let you know. Right now I'm trying to puzzle out the voicings of the chords I'm using. If I get anything I like going I'll try to record and post it.
