This is to let my fellow tenor banjo enthusiasts know that I am now selling a "Tone Control Amplifier For All Banjos" that improves the sound quality and volume of any banjo and gives the player some control of the sound's "character" (timbre). This is a new invention (patent pending) that simply sticks to the upper inside of the wood rim and is easily moved from banjo to banjo. Please see my BHO ad under "banjo accessories" which shows my website address with downloads, customer comments and more.

About 25 are in use so far including customers in the U.K., Germany, France and Australia and all feedback I've received is very positive. Tenor pro jazz band banjoist Jim Riley, one of my pre-sales testers, is delighted with his and so are the members of his band. The tone amp has been favorably reviewed by "Banjo Newsletter", the 5-string banjo monthly magazine, and the review, which is very favorable, was in their June issue.. "Johnny Baier, editoe of "All Frets" also reviewed the tone amp favorably in the May-June issue of "All Frets".

I'm glad to see that there is a tenor banjo group. I played Irish tenor style for seven years but prefer playing chord melody solos on my 1950's Gibson Bow Tie Model with resonator removed and an Oettinger tailpiece added.
