Full-auto Mauser Broomhandle BB Gun

From Ron C on 1/20/2016 8:41:21 AM

OK, I couldn't resist. A Umarex BB gun in the shape, size and weight of a pre-WWI Mauser Broomhandle pistol dropped to less than $100 and I had to have it.

Fully automatic or selective semi-auto. Feels just like the original. Friends have fired it on automatic and their eyes just light up. It only takes about 17 bbs, so you go through a magazine really fast. It also eats CO2 cartridges when set on automatic.

The nice part is that I can take it into my back yard and shoot into my wood and electrician's putty on full auto. There goes all my aggressions and I feel good for the rest of the day.

sounds fun, and good thing about only holding 17, it doesn't take a long time to load

I'ld like to hang on the trigger side of a minigun for a little bit

It was interesting in that even BBs powered by a CO2 cartridge gave an effect similar to an automatic weapon: the muzzle rises as you hold the trigger back.
I've had the opportunity...Let's modify that...I was made to fire an M60 and a BAR and a 1919, but that was 49 years ago.
