I had the tremendous honor of getting to do some recording this weekend with Don Reno's old Gibson "Nellie". I have played it many times before but never got to record with it. It is surreal to record tunes that were originally recorded with this banjo! Don Wayne wanted me to do some maintenance and set up work on it. So I tried to get it sounding like the old Reno and Smiley records. It's getting close but I am still trying to get it just right. Hope you like what you hear so far! I'll be posting more videos and recordings in the next few weeks.
