need some help with id on a old b&r supertoner.no numbers on sound post. and a missing plate on back of the head stock.has made by joe rodgers inside.chicago. il. and 13th fret has a ebony plate that has the name ben alman.. family heirloom looking for more info.. Leonvmusic@yahoo.com

	puff1956 says: 9/5/2013 5:54:30 PM Leon, With out doing any research on your banjo, I can tell you that Joe Rodgers was a maker of banjo skin heads. His name was usually stamped on the skin. (Did you mean S&R Supertone?) You would probably be better off to list this in another group or forum relating to the supertone, or identification of banjo makes. I would have to look, but I think there is a Supertone group, and you can always post on one of the related forums of your choice. This group is here mainly to look at in person, and assess banjos for those looking at, or buying banjos that might be in our geographical areas. But, if you go to my page, and send me a few pictures I might be able to help. Zane

This group is really here for people looking to buy an instrument outside of their geographical area. Basically another pair of eyes to go check something out on behalf of prospective buyers, not folks who already have an instrument. As Zane says, plenty of supertone specialists on the forum.
