Visitor from The Netherlands

From Marcel Arendsen on 5/10/2017 7:19:55 AM

Hi all, I'm a Dutch banjo picker. Are there any bluegrass events/jams in the Spartanburg area in June 2017? My family lives east of Spartanburg and I will stay there for the whole month. Rgds, Marcel

Welcome to South Carolina! Not sure about the jams in Spartanburg, I live just outside of Greenville a little south of where you are.

Hi fretting fingers. Thank you! it will be my second visit to Palmetto State. I sure enjoyed the first time in 2013. This year we, my wife Liza and my son David (both musicians) will be attending the Cherokee BG festival in NC. But back to my question: how about Greenville? Are there any BG events/jams in the Greenville area?

Marcel, I found an older post on BHO that lists some jams around SC. See if you can get to banjohangout.org/archive/204713

Dave, thanks for your help. I contacted Gilbert and Leigh Nelson from Boiling Springs (Gilbert is also a BHO member). We will be seeing them at the Cherokee festival.

Good pickin' and have a nice day.

Marcel
