Hi fellow pony fans. I'm new to the hangout and new to banjo. I've got two pony banjos, a nameless Buckbee from the 1890s and a new Saga SS10P. I'm happy with the Nylgut minstrel set on the Buckbee tuned to G, but I have two questions about steel string for the Saga

Question 1: The Saga arrived with light gauge steel strings that tune up to C nicely, but I have no idea what gauges they are. Does anyone know? Question number 2: I'd like to put the Saga in G tuning, but have read conflicting advice about string gauges (on the one hand, Elderly recommends 12-14-16-22w-12; another site recommends 16-18-20-32w-16. What gauges do you use for your pony in G.

And lastly, these are really fun banjos!

	studemobile says: 7/28/2015 5:37:41 PM Here is the recommendation for the 19" scale Gold Tone CC mini in G tuning: The CC-Mini is tuned to open-C but if playing with others and need to tune to standard G, the string gauges may be changed to the following: .016, .034, .024, .019, .016. Their recommendation for C tuning is .010, .024w .016 .013 .010. BTW I have the CC mini up for sale in the classified section.
