Hi, managed to find a copy of Briggs Banjo instructor and before I could finish tuning it as directed a string broke on The Celebrated Benary...and I'm not very experienced with this. Now I am wondering if I have the right strings on it in the first place. Fretted, leather head, custom bridge to reduce the buzz from wear on the second fret. Nut has been filled to raise the action a little - but this thing is old...goes with the territory. A friend put these on, all were white, low string is wound. Neck is 16.25 from inside of nut to head. It's little.
