My maple Ome Odyssey was very bright and balanced with one bridge, but I'm more a mahogany man and wanted to soften the tone a bit. I was playing around with bridges tonight and my gosh I forgot just what a difference they make. Most of them cut back on volume and brightness, one was what I consider too bright, but probably awesome for most of you. Then I found one that was just right. It cut back the brightness just enough. Now i'm a happy camper. Before you settle down with the bridge you're now using, try a few others and make sure there isn't one that you might like the sound of better. :o) I forgot to say I put a Remo head on mine also. That made a big difference also depending on the sound you're looking for.
