Howdy All:

Been playin BG for a couple of years, and decided that Clawhammer would be a better choice for solo acompyment.

Any suggestions on materials or sites that might help me?

I see lots, but don't know which are worth ordering. I haven't located a teacher in this neck of the woods, so may depend on online and print.

Thanks in advance for any help you have to give.

	Bizdoc says: 8/10/2016 1:09:38 PM If we played bg for 6 years, know some some songs but never developed the skills to write bg tab or learn strictly from ear. Clawhammer just seems to make so much more sense. It's easier to have a tune in your head and sit down and work it out.

	pstanley says: 10/3/2016 11:24:10 PM There is a lot of clawhammer on youtube, but the best lessons I got was at a week long camp in Sorrento, BC from Chris Coole from Lonesome Ace Stringband. He has a DVD that is quite good on right and left hand techniques. Don't rush through learning these basics. Here's his website, chriscoole.com/home. If you are interested in getting his DVD you can contact him there. I bought mine for $20 Canadian. You will certainly get your monies worth.
