Station Inn Bluegrass Jam.

From alfiedog on 1/29/2011 3:53:31 AM

We visited Nashville last Year, for a Family Wedding, well the Wedding was in Geogia, so we Drove up to Nashville to spend the last Week looking round. I really enjoyed it we stayed just off Broardway, not far from Ernest Tubbs Record Shop. We visted the Ryman, Grand old Opry, and the massive Shopping Mall. But by far the best was the Night we visited the Station Inn for the Bluegrass Jam (think its on on Mondays) It was a fantastic Night. I hope to go back there one Day.

Hope you do come back soon! That massive shopping mall has been closed since last May due to the flood - including the Gibson shop. Very glad to hear you got to the Station Inn. It wasn't so long ago that that area of town wasn't so well developed and some people were scared to go there. Now it's swanky condos and expensive restaurants all around. The owner could sell the Station Inn for a pretty penny now, but I'm happy to say it's still the same great place it's always been.

Yep we were warned by the Guy on the Hotel Desk he said "Be careful as its a bad area" to be quite honest Dustin, my Home Town on a Saturday Night is a Lot worse then that, i wouldnt venture out for any Money. I loved it and it looks a bit outta place. But the Atmosphere was great. Cant wait to go back !

I heard from a friend that the Bass Pro shop(outdoor) is open. I wish they had a shop like that over here. I was there 2 years back and felt safe walking about at night. SAme here cant wait to go back again.

Even 15 years ago, there was nothing to be worried about in the Station Inn area, totally safe. It was just undeveloped and a little gritty, therefore, those that rarely ventured outside the suburbs were timid. Yes, Pablo, the Bass Pro shop did re-open at Opry Mills a few months ago (at least), and the Opryland Hotel re-opened prior to Christmas as well. The rest of the mall is still under renovation, however.
