Clint Fagan, who already has a track record of a short fuse as a sub umpire, tossed Yadier Molina today for slamming down his helmet in frustration, an act that was in no way directed at the umpire. Fagan had made a big show of making a flamboyant out-call right in Molina's face on a play that had no need of a "look-at-me" call. Molina will likely be suspended for arguing his ejection while gutless honchos Selig and Torre will ignore the obvious provocation and inexcusably quick fuse of Fagan. Maybe MLB could attract better umps if they paid a reasonable living to the minor-league ones.

	Hankon5 says: 6/12/2013 6:03:18 PM Any rookie umps tend to show they are tough even though many of them do not act that way off the field. They think they have to mark their territory!! Players know this and should cool it!
