I would like to ask for suggestions on tuning a four string ( 3 full length and a short drone string) piccolo Gourd banjo. All suggestions welcome, I would particularly like ideas on getting close to a version of dGDF#A, if any one can help

	banjosnapper says: 2/12/2012 9:20:22 AM Best suggestion...maybe go up a step, or as much tension as the instrument seems to bear comfortably....is it a slightly shorter scale length? Just leave outh the fourth string tuning note (obviously) and you still have most of the early repertoire available to you. I tune my gourd to "E".
