Okay, I'll bear my soul with the process of this tune. I had always seen this in playbills, but never really looked at the tune. This comes from the Christy's Ethiopian Glee Book. I'm turning it into a banjo arrangement Briggs' or Rice style...depending on how it goes. First I change the key, and then create added notes and fingerings to create the best effect. Hopefully, it will double as an instrumental AND a vocal accompaniment, as many do...especially as found in Rice. I am also fond of the Rice right hand fingerings and look for opportunities to place the Strike whenever practical, and also utilize pulls.
