I'm looking for any information on the Liberty archtop banjo. I know they are of high quality, but how do the archtops sound? Do they all have a block rim? Is the tone sweet (mellow) or brassy and shrill? Is the tone clean and crisp? Any intonation issues? Any information is appreciated. Thanks, Dave Peterson

	Tonecaster says: 2/25/2012 10:02:44 AM Hi Dave, I got a Liberty Quadrille archtop for my friend in 1980. It was a really nice banjo. It had a really crisp sound. He sold it to a man that shipped it to a customer in Japan. They didn't make many. I only count 21 Quadrille 5 string archtop banjos made, so it may be a bit of search to get one. All the best, Russ
	gottasmilealot says: 7/4/2012 6:44:11 PM I had Liberty archtop which was a prototype, and the only one I've seen. I sold it here on the Hangout. It wasn't a Quadrille though. I had a flathead conversion ring on it for a while and even used it as an open back. I put it back to original when I sold it. banjohangout.org/myhangout/pho...bumid=387
