To let you know, I posted a note on Harry in the collectors section with, I hope, additional photos. July 9, 2013, Harry died of a glioblastoma in his brain. He made 55 banjos total...this was the figure he told me. I helped him with the communication and delivery of his last custom banjo which I named the "Springtime Banjo"...if things went as I planned, it will be the photo(s) of the banjo with flowers on the resonator and fingerboard. It went to a family practice doc out west....Montana? I can't remember now. Of course, he had a number of parts laying around. I heard that his !#$#%^& brother who Harry had no respect for, was having someone put the parts together and he was going to sell them as "Lane Banjos" on eBay. I don't know whether this was ever done. I know that there was one of his aluminum tone rings in the mix and there was hesitance about using it. I have a "minature" all aluminum 5 string made by Harry. At the time I got it, he had two aluminum tone rings: an arch top and a flat head. He told me I could have either one but "the flat head sounds like shit" so I took the archtop.
