Hello folks, I would like some help. I have with me a Deering Goodtime tenor banjo which apparently has a tone ring. I think I can see it on the out rim like a wide but thin metal strip which runs the circumference of the pot. Would that be the tone ring? I must ask because I have an open back which is essentially all wood. If it is indeed a tone ring, well I am going to be really really delighted with my little banjo.

	beetlegeist says: 3/23/2011 5:36:59 PM As far as I know it is a standard Deering Goodtime Special Openback tenor. Mine does have a steel band on the ouer rim and I thought the tonering was on the inside of the banjo.
