Hey guys, had Larry do a rim changeout on my Jackrabbit #009 (a rim that I'm KEEPING, couldn't quite let go)...
After some knock notes, picked a cherry/ash hybrid rim. As ash represents life, the tree of life, etc, and cherry blossoms tend to symbolize rebirth...what better than a Helix "Phoenix", see? I'll post a review and pictures, and finally, sound/video. Wanted to deck it out in bronze hardware, but, short on dough, so I kept the hardware, more or less, and am off with a new one, arriving Friday. YES.

	wizofos says: 3/20/2013 11:00:42 AM Got to spend some time with Nick and Phoenix #1 last Sunday. That is a great instrument. Felt good in my hands and a great sound. If this is a new instrument that has not settled in yet, this is going to be a super instrument when it does. Nick certainly knows how to play it too. My main though was that this is a hard workin' blue collar instrument that does the job. Much better than some fancy, glossy piece of eye candy. It looks great, solid construction and felt good. My thought was that this is the kind of hard working instrument you would see in a pub where they serve Guiness by the pint, a front porch with friends and family and a cooler full of malted beverage as the kids dance in the yard. Only problem is that I don't have one. I Better start being nice to the Secretary of the Treasury.
