Birch = Hiawatha, he died in 1595, formed the Iriquois League. He built the first Birch Bark canoe, until then they were all dugouts. Birch is very responsive and lightweight.
Sycamore = El Aliso, after the 400 yr.old pow wow tree on the site of present day Los Angeles.
Osage Orange= Osceola
Juniper = Arizonic, after the species Arizonica
Elm = Titania, from ancient Greek
Catalpa = A muskogee word for "Winged Head" Helix Winged Head.
Orange = Mars, if the sun were a basketball, Jupiter is a grapefruit.
