I'm notorious for no sound files or pics on my homepage, but maybe this will motivate me to get up to snuff.

Like I said in the H.C. Dobson thread, my banjo (#6412) is identical to John Balch's except for having a standard heel. Also, a six-pointed star inlaid on the dowel rather than the three dots, and a six-pointed star and crescent moon on the peghead. Possibly custom inlay.

As I found with my other groups, I think it is a good idea to create a centralized place to link all the related materials and discussions. It is gonna make me wish I had not sold my Dobson banjo ...oh well ...I can't keep them all.
