I'm working on a H. C. Dobson 1867 Pat'd fretless. It has what could be the numeral 114 stamped inside the pot above the square dowel hole. I know that later H. C. Dobsons had serial numbers..... anyone know about the use of serial #'s on the 1867 pat'd model ? I can't figure out how to post pictures here, will post some on my Facebook page.
