This is my Matthew 7-string, 11" head. Oval maker's stamp and serial number on the reverse of the perch pole. When I acquired it a period correct metal 5-string tailpiece was fitted. This has now been replaced with an ebony 7-string tailpiece. Fortunately it has the original 7-string ebony nut which is in good useable condition. The pegs look to be replacement violin tuners.
