C. Scotcher & Son

From Pomeroy on 10/1/2023 11:55:40 AM

Early sources relating to George P. Matthew in business as a banjo maker in 1882 refer to his previous association with C. Scotcher & Son, musical instruments seller with premises at 37 Bull St, Birmingham. His London training as a harmonium finisher, and his experience of his mother's London pianoforte business, likely meant he was repairing a range of instruments in addition to banjos.
