Greeting From Banjo-Buddy1

From BanjoBuddy-1 on 2/16/2016 4:02:48 PM

I Just joined the group, although I have been acquiring banjos since 1960 (including my 1st Fairbanks Regent plectrum), but only started collecting Fairbanks since 1999, as I sold off my non-Fairbanks banjos to acquire early Fairbanks and Coles (an 1881 and an 1882 Flush-fret fretless; an 1885 Le Grande Imperial (Gura & Bollman, pg. 208), and an 1886 ivory-fretted Imperial).
I currently own the following A.C. Fairbanks: an 1890 Custom Electric; an 1886 Custom Imperial, an 1895 Piccolo Electric (only 4 known to exist) , an 1893 Baby Electric #1 style, an 1891 Banjeurine Electric #1 style, an 1891 #2 Ladies Electric (others known?), a #3 Ladies Special Electric (only 2 known), an 1895 Special Electric #5 1895 & a 1903 Special Electric #5 (Consolvi), a 1901 Whyte Laydie #2 (Consolvi); a Fairbanks Cello Banjo (only 4 known); a 1913 Fairbanks-Vega Tubaphone Style S Ukelele (from the Tsaumura Collection) and a 1905 Bacon/Vega Chubby Dragon (Consolvi). I have some other banjos, but they are not germane to this webpage. I will post some pictures of the Fairbanks when I get a chance.

Beautiful instrument! But, I don't need a 3rd one. I highly recommend that you buy second one: There is an auction coming up that has one for sale. Contact me if you are unable to find the link.
