Hello,
i haven't practiced playing my banjo the past 6 years due to a stressful job situation that I have now retired from. I used to always look at Doc Banjos website and hope to one day order one. So today I went looking and his website is no longer up. Just curious as to when he closed up shop or any other info. Kicking myself for not going for it when I had a chance.

Bob Stepno says: 5/27/2024 9:14:50 AM I first heard of Doc Huff this month when a friend (who doesn't have much Internet access or experience) mentioned she had one of his banjos for sale. I went looking for his website, saw that it was offline, and checked the Wayback Machine at the Internet Archive (I'm a compulsive online research geek), where I found substantial, but incomplete, copies of his website, "sampled" off and on from 2011-2017. Today I'm unable to connect to that site too, which could be a local Internet access problem. But here's one page: web.archive.org/web/20110925024710/docsbanjos.com/blog/ Meanwhile, I've found YouTube interviews with Doc and other websites, and another friend who owns a Doc's Banjos instrument or three, told me about as much as banjo-kiel says above. Agreed... very sad is an understatement.
