really great banjo repair support

From SEMO on 11/18/2016 6:24:50 PM

I bought a used Ramsey custom woody from Jim on Ebay.

After playing it a few weeks, I noticed some of the finish on the rim cap was gone, and that there appeared to be a crack in the rim, perhaps from a wood flaw.  I knew this wasn't normal wear and tear.

I contacted Jim, he spoke to Mike and asked I called him.  I did, and he said "it's wood and stuff happens..."  I told him I understood and loved the banjo sound and quaility wise but would like the issues addresed.  I sent him the banjo,  Jim followed up with me and Mike during the process, which was less than 2 weeks, (and that due to Mike being sick)  When it came, I realized he had repaired, refinished the entire instrument and set it up for me, without charge.  I would never have expected or even asked for such great treatment, but am really GRATEFUL for it.  It has always sounded superior, and now looks as good as it sounds...

My strongest recommendation to these gentlemen for a great banjo, honestly represented and wholeheartedly backed up.  a huge THANKS to both Mike and Jim.  I couldn't have been treated better.

Mike is a great guy and makes great sounding banjos! His wine is also pretty good!
