Hello,

My name is Frankie and I have a problem. It's the same problem many of you have--seller's remorse.

You see, there was once this 2004 Deering Golden Wreath. I knew I shouldn't have sold it but I did anyway. As I played it one last time before packing it away she sang to me so softly and begged me not to put her into that box--but I did anyway.

Despite my efforts to re-obtain her from her current owner she won't forgive me and take me back.

There is a song in here somewhere....

Am I alone in this? What's your story?

	bluegrassboy says: 2/19/2014 7:41:11 AM hi frankie, this group should generate a few good stories, here are a couple of mine. back in 77 my dad came walking in the house with an old banjo case, it was a 27 pb-3 with a solid a.t. tone ring! he and mom had stopped in an antique store in clinton iowa to ask about old instruments, an older gentleman that was there mentiond he had an old gibson that belonged to his dad, but it was not for sale, after a short conversation, he asked dad if he wanted to see it. they went back to his house, and he pulled it out of the closet, where it had been since 52 when his dad died. his dad bought it new in 27, and played it at his sisters wedding. after about 2 hrs, dad got him to price it. $275.00. i put a wreath neck on it, and had it till the early 90s. i traded it for an 89 rb-3 hearts and flowers gibson. traded the 3 for a 99 crowe model, have kicked myself several times for letting that old 3 get away! my dad found that banjo, and he passed away back in 2010.
	revellfa says: 2/19/2014 7:53:44 AM Wow! Those old 27 solid archtop rings are something. I sold my 27 PB-4 with solid archtop ring recently but I am trying to get it back--that's another one for the blog I guess!
