Easy Blues by Michael Miles

From Mary Schons on 1/27/2014 12:16:18 PM

Hi everyone, about a year and a half ago I got to take a class called Blues for Clawhammer Banjo by Michael Miles at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago. I probably wasn't ready, but I learned a lot and continue to do from the tabs and what he taught about improvisation.

The link is his tab for Easy Blues. Double C tuning, gCDCD. I've found myself in a blues jam playing this over and over and it works really well. Have fun, and if you ever get a chance to take a banjo class with Mr. Miles, please do so. He's great.

Mary,

I just figured out how to tune to Double C and I am really enjoying fooling around with it. I will look at the "Easy Blues" over the weekend. Thanks for putting this up for us.
