Good day everybody. Does anyone have any suggestions towards my buying a good (or great on second thought) intermediate Gospel lessons DVD.

	From Greylock to Bean Blossom says: 11/28/2015 10:04:54 AM I have the Mel Bay Gospel Banjo Songbook by Mike Bailey and M.L. Smith and did not like it much. I just did not like the arrangements. So I will offer you 2 thoughts. The author I have learned the most from is Jack Hatfield. He has an OLd Time Gospel Banjo Solos. I don't have it, but based on all he has done from teaching basics to his Scruggs Corner and Scruggs transcriptions in Banjo Newsletter, I think it would be good. He has both up and down the neck breaks and a lot of songs. (hatfieldmusic.com/page3.html). or I would just get the Hatfield instructional series books and work at making up my own breaks. Gospel breaks are usually fairly simple tunes. Good lUck Ken

	TheChaplain says: 5/9/2020 7:04:14 PM I really prefer using tab books, some of them come with video as well. Janet Davis is a great instructor and usually includes some gospel tunes in her books.
