I love gospel music. All my life I have played southern gospel .Then one day in london Ky I picked up a banjo from then on I was hooked. Some of the best pickers I have ever seen play bluegrass.My grandfather played clawhammer but I prefer three finger scruggs style

I'm a scruggs picker first but clawhammer banjo most songs also that i pick also so i have maximum variety of song options . I like to take songs of other instruments and grass em up on banjo like Walking in Memphis by Elvis and it's piano song but now it's a banjo song < chuckles .... I saw the light and i'll fly away are my best and long black train is taking over 3rd place right now . God bless "Y"all
	banjogal12 says: 2/13/2012 8:10:36 PM Got the CD, The Gospel Side of Dailey & Vincent... and it is fantastic. I can't play it enough. This is the one they did for Cracker Barrel. Joe, Jim and Scott's banjo playing is so inspiring. If you haven't had a chance to hear it...take the time, it's worth it.
	double E says: 2/14/2012 4:44:20 PM I hate to say it, but I had my wife pick me one up at Cracker Barrel the other day and I was very disappointed. There were only a couple songs on it I liked at all. I should have listened to it first. I guess that's why I said in my earlier post I am a Bluegrass fanatic. I thought that is what Dailey and Vincent did. WRONG. Horns, drums, pianos, electric instruments, string ensemles. I'm sure a lot will enjoy it. But it's not for me. I really loved their first CD.

To name a few, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Blueridge "Gettin Ready",The Churchmen "Passing Through", Country Gentleman "Calling my children home",Crowe/Lawson/Williams "Old Friends Get Together", Dale Ann Bradley "Send The Angels", Phoenix "His Amazing Love", a group called New Road that are no longer together under that name had about 5 really good gospel cd's.Paul William & Victory Trio of course. I could name a lot more that I have and like. I dont want people to think I'm a Southern Gospel hater, I have heard a lot I like and its really my wifes favorite. Bluegrass is just my favorite. Maybe its because I'm a banjo player, huh?
